Flower Festival

The Festival originated from the South Weald Church Flower Festival which had been going for several years as had the School Fete.  In 1964 the then Vicar, John Swallow, had the idea of combining the two Events on one weekend.  That weekend was to be that closest to our Patron St Peter’s Day, June 29th.  It has since evolved each year to become the South Weald Patronal Festival which was a week long event for the first time in 2014.
